Born in 1997 in Eupen, Belgien, Aaron Wolharn began his artistic education at an early age at the Musikakademie der Deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft Belgium, where flutist Anne Davids laid the foundation for his career.

After completing his high school education in 2016, he enrolled at the Institut royal supérieur de musique et de pédagogie in Namur, where he completed his bachelor's degree under the guidance of Professeur Denis-Pierre Gustin. Two years later, he graduated with honors with a master's degree. During this time, he developed a passion for exploring the sonic spectrum of the entire flute family and dedicated himself to contemporary music.

Since 2021, he has been furthering his education in piccolo, Boehm, alto, and bass flute with a focus on contemporary music at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen. His extensive knowledge of music theory and interpretation is now under the tutelage of Barbara Maurer and Günther Steinke, while Professor Anne-Catherine Heinzmann specifically oversees the development of his flute-playing skills. Despite the soloist emphasis within his studies, Aaron's keen interest lies in chamber music. This passion for ensemble playing in various formations was instilled in him at a young age by his father, a pianist.

In Namur, Aaron Wolharn collaborated extensively with guitarist Nathan Herman in the Sem Nome Duo and, since 2021, has been a founding member of various groups, such as the Peripherie Quartett or the six-member Ensemble Spring. The repertoire spans a wide range, from contemporary music and world premieres to occasional classical pieces.

This diverse concert experience has taken the flutist to numerous renowned concert halls in Germany, such as the Philharmonie Essen and the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr in Bochum. Aaron Wolharn has received significant inspiration both as a soloist and in chamber music from internationally renowned musicians such as Sarah Louvion, Petri Alanko, Gaby Pas-van-Riet, Benjamin Plag, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and Susanne Blumenthal.

Another important aspect of the artist's life is his commitment to sharing his knowledge and experience with flutists of all ages. In addition to teaching classical repertoire, he also focuses on teaching contemporary pieces and playing techniques. His teaching activities extend to various music schools and institutions, including the Musikschule Monschau, the Ecole de musique du Canton de Clervaux in Luxembourg, the Margarethenhöhe Music and Ballet School, and the Musikschule Langenfeld.

Beyond his work, Aaron Wolharn's versatility is reflected in his personal life as well. For example, he restores keyboard and wind instruments, has a passion for cooking, sewing and lives in Essen, Gemany.
